We develop, test, and manufacture flexible rockfall protection barriers based on high-tensile ring nets. These barriers are designed to protect people and infrastructure in locations where standard drapery systems are unsuitable or impractical for economic, technical, or aesthetic reasons.

The barriers absorb the kinetic energy of falling rocks through the deformation of the structure and its energy-dissipating elements. The main structural components include hinged posts, ring net panels, support cables, impact energy dissipaters (brakes), and flexible-head cable anchors.

Combining exceptional durability with flexibility, our barriers can withstand impact energies of up to 5,000 kJ—equivalent to the direct impact of a 12-ton truck moving at 100 km/h.

To accommodate different slopes and geological conditions, we offer barrier models with maximum energy absorption levels of 150, 500, 1,000, 3,000, and 8,000 kJ. Depending on the calculated trajectory height of falling rocks relative to the slope surface, nominal barrier heights are available in 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 5.0, and 6.0 meters.

OUR ROCKFALL BARRIERS: KEY FEATURES

  • Optimized Design: Our barriers offer the perfect balance of strength, flexibility, and structural mass. The ring net, featuring exceptional tensile strength of up to 1,500 kN/m, evenly distributes impact loads across all structural elements.

  • Cost Efficiency: Significantly lower construction costs compared to traditional reinforced concrete structures.

  • Low Visual Impact: Ideal for installation in protected areas where massive construction is prohibited due to environmental or tourism regulations (e.g., Mediterranean and Black Sea coastal regions).

  • Climatic Versatility: Suitable for installation in almost any climate zone.

  • Fire Resistance: Components are designed to withstand forest fires without structural failure.

  • Rapid Assembly: The system is designed for fast, convenient, and easy installation.
