ROCKFALL PROTECTION BARRIER

We develop, test and produce flexible rockfall protection barriers on base of high-tensile ring nets. Rockfall barriers are designed to protect people and infrastructure from falling rocks in places where the use of drapery systems is either unsuitable or impractical due to economic, technical or aesthetic reasons.

Rockfall barriers absorb falling rocks energy due to deformation of the structure and crushable elements. The main structural elements of the barrier are hinged posts, ring net panels, support ropes, brake-absorbers of kinetic energy of impact, and cable anchors with a flexible head.

Having an excellent combination of durability and flexibility, our barriers are able to withstand the impact of rock blocks with energy up to 5000 kJ, which is equivalent to a direct impact of a 12-ton truck moving at a speed of 100 km/h.

For use on different slopes with different geological and geomorphological conditions, we offer various types of barriers with the following maximum levels of energy absorption: 150 kJ, 500 kJ, 1000 kJ, 3000 kJ and 5000 kJ. Depending on the height of the trajectory of falling rocks over the surface of the slope, the nominal barrier height can be 2.0, 2.5, 3.0, 4.0, 5.0, 6.0, 7.0, 8.0 meters.

FEATURES OF OUR ROCKFALL BARRIERS

  • Barrier designs have the perfect combination of strength, flexibility and mass of the structure. Ring net, having phenomenal tensile strength reaching 1500 kN/m, evenly distributes the shock loads among all elements of the structure;

  • Significantly lower construction costs compared with reinforced concrete structures;

  • Possibility of installation in areas where, due to environmental and tourist factors, the construction of massive structures (the shores of the Mediterranean and Black Seas) is prohibited;

  • Possibility of installation in almost any climate zone;

  • Fire resistance during forest fires;

  • Fast, convenient and easy installation.
